One of the top innovations in recent years is the Chopped Fiberglass Emulsion Roofing System. Installation does away with cutting to fit, which eliminates seams. Seams are the prime source of leaks on even the best flat roofs. Your new roof is virtually manufactured on site.
The major benefit to you is that you keep your existing roof, so you save the cost of “tear off” and disposal. (This naturally depends on the condition of your current roof). If the substrate is in shape, we refurbish and prepare the surface so that it adheres to the emulsion. You get waterproofing and weather protection that equals the best flat roofs around.

Other benefits of chopped fiberglass emulsion roofing:
  • It expands and contracts with temperature changes and as buildings settle. This eliminates cracking.
  • It is a relatively quick install, meaning less disruption to your business.
  • You get a long term warranty (12 years standard, upgradeable to 20 years)
  • Fiberglass emulsion does not pollute: no VOC's, the material is non-toxic, and it is not hazardous.
  • They are Energy Star® rated; the best flat roofs for energy savings
  • The material is fire resistant
  • You can immediately depreciate the cost
  • It can be re-applied

The best flat roofs come in materials we also recommend:

Built-up roofing (BUR): This roof has three or four layers of “felt” – commonly called tar paper, which is mopped with hot asphalt. Typically, a layer of gravel is added to the surface with a coating of hot tar.

Modified Bitumen: These membranes are still asphalt-based, but polymers have been added to improve water-resistance and strength. They can be applied as a single-ply membrane or as part of built up roofing (BUR).

PVC, rubber, and EPDM: These are sheets or tiles of polymer plastic or rubber. They can be inexpensive options.

Standing seam metal: Modern metal flat roofing is designed with interlocking panels. The interlocking seam where panels join together is raised above the roof's flat surface, allowing water to run off without seeping between panels. They can be nailed or screwed in place, although specially engineered attachment systems are available. They are among the best flat roofs.

Green Roofs: There is a growing interest in roofs that are more environmentally friendly, such as light colored “reflective” roof material. Some have been tested and shown to reduce air conditioning costs by as much as 50 percent. You can qualify for ENERGY STAR® and LEED green building credits.

As a long-established roofing contractor, we are fully insured for liability and licensed in the State of Oklahoma. The National Roofing Contractor’s Association warns that if you get a very low bid, the contractor might not be adequately insured. In which case, you will be responsible for any damages or injury claims on your property.
